The first Vintry and Dowgate Wards' Club lecture was given on March 11 2010 at Tallow Chandlers' Hall by John Clark formerly Senior Curator (Medieval)of the Museum of London. Entitled "Aet Lundene Stane" , it traced the myths and truths of the London Stone. This ancient stone is now situated on the north side of Cannon Street and in Walbrook Ward but has moved location and may once have been located in Dowgate Ward. The Tallow Chandlers' history group shared this lecture which was kindly hosted by the Tallow Chandlers' Company."
